ROCKWOOD MAN CHARGED WITH METH POSSESSION AFTER POLICE PURSUIT IN CROSSVILLE

A brief police pursuit in Crossville Monday resulted in the arrest of a Roane County man. Police observed a vehicle with a brake light out near the Cumberland County jail. The pursuit started and ended on South Bend Drive when officers stopped 37-year-old Christopher Joshua Pelfrey of Rockwood. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in officers allegedly finding syringes including one with meth loaded in it. Pelfrey was arrested for possession of meth, felony evading arrest, possession of marijuana and driving on a revoked license.
