The Rockwood Police Department has released important safety reminders and traffic advisories ahead of this weekend’s Halloween festivities.

W. Rockwood Street is scheduled to close at 5:00 PM this Saturday to accommodate the community’s annual Trunk or Treat event. Participants taking part in the event are required to be in place and ready for trick-or-treaters by 5:00 PM, ahead of the official start time at 6:00 PM.

To ensure a secure environment for families and children, the police department will maintain an increased officer presence throughout the city on Halloween night, with a particular focus on Kingston Avenue and the downtown area. Authorities are encouraging all motorists and residents to exercise caution, stay alert for pedestrians, and help keep the community safe.
