ROCKWOOD POLICE CONFISCATE STOLEN TRACTOR-TRAILER

Yesterday, around 10:30 p.m., Rockwood Police stopped a tractor-trailer on North Gateway near the Walmart entrance after a tag reader camera flagged the trailer’s tag as stolen. Chief Kelly Pittman reported that one of four cameras along Gateway Avenue alerted him, prompting officers to initiate the traffic stop.
Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) assisted and took over the investigation. The tractor-trailer was confiscated by THP and towed to Goldston’s Wrecker Service lot in Rockwood. Two individuals were in the vehicle, but no arrests are listed in the Roane County Sheriff’s Department database as of now.
