ROCKWOOD POLICE RESPOND TO SHOTS FIRED
On June 10, 2025, the Rockwood City Police Department responded to a shots-fired incident at 516 W Baldwin Street in Rockwood. A caller reported an older male, identified as Michael Anthony Miles, discharging a firearm, possibly toward a female, during an altercation involving baseball bats and ongoing arguments.
Video footage captured Miles, after an argument with a male in a red shirt, loading and firing a Springfield XDS 9mm pistol toward an outbuilding near where two people stood. Police arrived, secured the scene, and located the firearm on a washing machine inside Miles’ residence. A spent casing and a bullet hole in a sink beside the outbuilding were found.
Miles admitted to firing the shot to intimidate David, was read his Miranda Rights, and was arrested for reckless endangerment. The pistol was seized as evidence. Other individuals present, provided statements confirming David’s involvement.
