ROANE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE — Following a months-long investigation into
suspected drug trafficking, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Rockwood woman and
seized significant quantities of narcotics, firearms, and cash.

In March 2025, detectives began investigating reports of drug activity at 1757 Eureka Road in
Rockwood. The investigation revealed that Heather Thomas and others were allegedly involved
in the distribution of fentanyl. Based on the findings, investigators obtained a search warrant for
the residence.

On June 6, 2025, law enforcement executed the search warrant. During the search, officers
recovered:

• Approximately 12 grams of fentanyl
• Approximately 16 grams of cocaine
• Three firearms
• Ammunition
• Digital scales, packaging materials, and cutting agents
• Approximately $18,200 in cash

All items were located at the residence and consistent with drug trafficking activity.
Heather Thomas, a convicted felon, was taken into custody and charged with:

• Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine)
• Possession of Schedule II (Fentanyl)
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

“This operation is another example of our department’s commitment to combating the flow of
illegal drugs and firearms into Roane County; we will continue to investigate and dismantle drug
trafficking operations that threaten our community.”
