RONNIE “SCOTT” HAMILTON, AGE 52

Ronnie “Scott” Hamilton, age 52, of Rockwood, passed away December 31, 2020 at Roane Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1968 in Rockwood and graduated from Rockwood High School. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran with 10 years of service, retiring as a Boatswains Mate 3rd Class, (E-4) serving on the U.S.S. Lexington CVT/AVT 16 and at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia. After retirement, he was employed as a Relief Manager for Weigel’s working for several years at the Harriman (Midtown) store and most recently at the Kingston (Gallaher Road) store. He was preceded in death by his father: Earl Rolland Hamilton; and brother-in-law: Patrick Redmon. Survivors include husband: Shane Hamilton of Rockwood; mother: Barbara Hamilton of Rockwood; daughter: Jena Hamilton & her fiancé, Justin Boyd of Rogersville; sisters: Teresa Redmon of Rockwood and Tammy Hamilton of Rockwood; brother/nephew: Josh Widner of Rockwood; sister/niece: Grace Brown (Cody Robinette) of Loudon; and several special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Military honors will follow by the U.S. Navy. Funeral services will follow Sunday, January 3, 2021 with reflections and remembrances by family and friends. Cremation arrangements will follow.
