Roane State will host Roane County’s annual Lighting of the Tree event on Monday, November 18, 2024, beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

Everyone is invited to attend the holiday event and admission is free. This year, festivities will be held inside the Vann Student Center in the Dunbar Building and outside on the lawn in the Faculty/Staff parking area. The tree will be set up near the flagpole.

The lighting of the tree is scheduled to occur at 6:15 p.m. following a brief welcome at 6 p.m. ET. The tree lighting will be followed by local school musical programs, reindeer games, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Food and refreshments will be available during the event. Candy and prizes will also be given out while supplies last.

Roane State’s flagship Roane County Campus is located at 276 Patton Lane in Harriman. Visitors should follow event signage for parking on campus.
