This morning at approximately 645am, Rural Metro Fire responded to a reported house fire in the 800 block of Sanford Day Rd in West Knox County. When crews arrived, they found a 2 story home with smoke detectors sounding and a fire in an upstairs room. The fire was quickly knocked down, and the home was ventilated from the smoke and heat. Quick work resulted in moderate damage in the room of origin and smoke damage throughout the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
