S.N.A.P. HOMES MAY NOT RECEIVE BENEFITS IN NOVEMBER
According to the Tennessee Department of Human Services, SNAP households in the state will not receive benefits in November if the ongoing federal government shutdown persists.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (USDA FNS) has notified the state that federally funded SNAP benefits for November will be unavailable under these circumstances.
This development follows earlier uncertainties, with benefits previously secured only through October.
The program, which supports 1 in 8 Americans, remains at risk, and the department has committed to providing updates as new information becomes available.
