SCAM INVOLVING CROSSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Crossville Police Department is warning the public of a scam that has been reported involving Police Department donation requests.
If you receive a call that a member of the Crossville Police Department, or someone calling on behalf of this agency, is seeking donations for any purpose, IT IS A SCAM.
The City of Crossville Police Department DOES NOT SOLICIT DONATIONS, period. These callers may give a multitude of reasons for requesting money; K9 donations, Children’s programs, Police Week, Toys for underprivileged children, etc.
The Crossville Police says for you to not donate. These requests are not legitimate requests from their agency and simply hang up.
