The Roane County Sheriff’s Department says an inmate who stole a Harriman street department pickup truck last Friday while working on detail is still at large but the truck has been located. Sheriff Jack Stockton says the vehicle was found on Powers Loop road in Morgan County Friday night but the inmate, Cameron Simpson, was gone. Simpson is a Caucasian male in his mid-30’s, standing 6 and a half foot tall, weighs 185 pounds and was last seen wearing an orange jump suit. Simpson was being held without bond at the Roane County jail on two theft charges. If you have any information on where Simpson is, call 911.
