On June 10, 2025, the 9th Judicial District Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a residence on the Loudon/Roane County line as part of an ongoing fentanyl distribution investigation. No one was home, but agents recovered an assault rifle, a handgun, heroin, oxycodone, hydrocodone, suspected codeine syrup, and a local police badge.

No arrests have been made, and charges are pending through the 9th District Attorney General’s Office. The investigation continues, with limited details released due to suspects still at large.
