SELVIDGE ARRESTED AFTER ALTERCATION REPORTEDLY INVOLVING FIREARM

A Roane County man is facing several charges following a disturbance Sunday. The arrest report states a female victim told officers 33-year-old Joshua Alan Selvidge forced his way into her home, stopped her from calling for help, and grabbed a rifle pointing it at her. No shots were fired then Selvidge allegedly got into a physical altercation with the victim. She managed to get away and ran to a nearby house to get help. Selvidge was arrested for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, vandalism, preventing the use of the 911 system and violating an order of protection.
