SEVEN INJURED IN VEHICLE CRASH ON I-40 IN ROANE COUNTY

A recent two-vehicle crash on I-40 in Roane County resulted in seven injuries.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2014 Kia Soul driven by a 17-year-old struck the rear of a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder operated by 23-year-old Miriam Mora of North Carolina at the 347-mile marker.
Both drivers were heading east when the accident happened.
The collision caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and roll over.
The teenager in the Kia was not hurt.
Troopers say Mora and six passengers in the Nissan all were hurt. Of the seven injured, three were underage.
All of the passengers, along with Mora, were taken to an area trauma center for treatment.
