Several injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle crash that shut down both directions of Interstate 81 at mile marker 53 in Washington County yesterday. Some involved were part of a motorcycle group hearing to Washington, D.C. Troopers say the accident also involved a Walmart tractor-trailer that caught fire. No fatalities were reported. The truck was hauling 600 pounds of pool shock and 52 pounds of petroleum gas. The names of those involved were not initially released by troopers.
