SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH ISSUED FOR PART OF CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
The National Weather Service just issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH until 8 p.m. central tonight (Monday, June 21, 2021).
It includes the following Tennessee counties:
CLAY, FENTRESS, OVERTON, PICKETT, AND PUTNAM.
In Kentucky, it includes:
CLINTON, CUMBERLAND, AND WAYNE
These are the only counties in the watch box at the time it was issued.
Scattered hail up to ping pong size, winds up to 70 miles per hour, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning is possible in this watch area.
