A Roane County sex offender arrested just three months ago has been arrested again. Officers took 57-year-old Gary Wayne Pierce of Oliver Springs into custody for sexual exploitation of a minor and failure to register as a sex offender. He was transported to the Roane County jail. Pierce was arrested back in early August 2019 for two counts each of violation of the sex offender registry and criminal impersonation. According to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Pierce was convicted in 1998 for enticing a child for indecent purposes.
