Deputies in Cumberland County took a sex offender into custody yesterday at a residence at 6,035 Chestnut Hill Road. Officers say 38-year-old Michael Lynwold Holland was charged with violation of the sex offender registry and sexual or violent offender verification. Holland was taken to the Cumberland County jail and initially placed under a total of $6,000 bond. Holland was ordered onto the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry after his conviction in 2000 for sexual assault.
