Please join us in congratulating Sgt. Tom Nelson on his well-earned retirement.
Sgt. Nelson has dedicated many years of service to Putnam County. He began his career working for the Putnam County Board of Education from 2005–2009. In 2009, he joined the Putnam County Jail, working with the kitchen work crew, and in 2012 he transferred to the litter work crew. In 2018, Sgt. Nelson was promoted to a supervisor over the inmate work crews.
Sheriff Farris said, “We want to thank Tom for all his hard work and devotion he put towards the Putnam County Jail. He will always be a part of our PCSO family.”
We wish Sgt. Nelson all the best in retirement and thank him for his years of service to Putnam County!
