Earlier today at approximately 5:12 a.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 304 in Cumberland County, Tennessee. A 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by 20-year-old Garrett Waller of Tennessee, was traveling east when it ran off the right side of the roadway and came to rest in an embankment.

The driver’s passenger, 19-year-old Sidney Garrett of Tennessee, was also in the vehicle. Neither the driver nor the passenger was reported injured, and seat belt usage is unknown for both. No charges have been listed at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. No additional vehicles were involved.
