SIX ARRESTED FOR REPORTEDLY STEALING FROM CHURCH CLOTHES CLOSET IN KINGSTON

The Kingston Police Department says six people are facing charges after allegedly stealing items left for the Kingston United Methodist Clothes Closet. In at least two incidents, officers caught some of the suspects in the act. The six include Leslie Baker, Terri Golden, Regina Headrick, David Abbott, Tommie Woodby and Paula Stinnett. The thefts took place over a 10 day period and officers say there may be more arrests. One of the six arrested allegedly had some of the stolen items on a yard sale website. Kingston police patrol the area on a daily basis and will arrest anyone taking items after hours from the Clothes Closet without permission. The church is well known for giving to the needy if they request it.
