Human skeletal remains have been discovered in Grundy County. According to Sheriff Clint Shrum, the remains were found in an isolated area near Altamont Friday morning. The victim has not been identified as yet. Sheriff Shrum says that a team of anthropologists have been called to the scene to assist in the excavation. The Tennessee State Medical Examiner’s Office now has custody of the remains. No further information has been released at this time.
