SMALL TORNADO CONFIRMED IN PUTNAM COUNTY

The National Weather Service in Nashville confirmed an EF-0 tornado touchdown in Putnam County early this afternoon. Reports of damage begin at South Willow Avenue near I-40 and occur in multiple neighborhoods north and east to the Falling Water Road area of Buck Mountain. Other areas impacted include Brotherton Mountain Road and Stamps Shady Grove Road in the Monterey area. There are no reports of injuries or destroyed structures at this time. It had a path width of 75 yards. Damage was also noted in a part of southern Overton County. This makes the 21st tornado to hit the state since the start of 2021.
