A Soddy Daisy man says he was held up in Chattanooga by two men wielding a machete. Sherwin Smith told police that he had left a wedding party Saturday night about 9:30 to go get his son’s vehicle when he saw the suspects approach him on Cherry St. One of the men instructed him to lie down on the sidewalk and not look at them. They told him to give them “all his money”, so he gave them his pocket change and the keys to his son’s car. The men then left him on the sidewalk. The machete was located in a nearby alley the next day.
