SOURCES SAY JEREMY PRUITT ACCEPTS DEAL TO BECOME UT’S HEAD FOOTBALL COACH; DETAILS BEING FINALIZED
According to sources, Jeremy Pruitt has accepted a deal with UT to become the next head football coach, but both parties are still finalizing it. They say that Pruitt, who is currently defensive coordinator at Alabama, is “the guy that fits the profile of who Phillip Fulmer was looking for.” The offer comes after an exhaustive coaching search to replace Butch Jones that caused tension between Vol fans and the university’s athletic administration and led to the firing of John Currie as athletic director and hiring of Phillip Fulmer to replace him as AD.
