SOUTH AND WEST CUMBERLAND TO MEET WITH C.P.W.A. TO DISCUSS MERGER

According to a report by the Crossville Chronicle, South Cumberland is actively pursuing a merger with the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority (CPWA), following discussions noted during the CPWA’s August 18 meeting, where lawyer Kenneth Chadwell revealed that South Cumberland has engaged Randy York to draft a consolidation agreement.
This follows CPWA’s recent merger with Crab Orchard Water Authority in May. Today, August 26, 2025, South and West Cumberland are meeting with the CPWA to advance these merger negotiations, marking a critical step in the consolidation process.
