SPARTA TEEN KILLED IN CRASH IN CROSSVILLE

The Crossville Police Department is currently investigating a crash that resulted in the death of Sparta teen Aiden Linville which occurred in Crossville on Sunday.

Linville and his church group were returning home from a trip to East Tennessee and Dollywood when the crash occurred.

Linville had just started eighth grade at White County Middle School in Sparta and is described as a member of Boy Scouts Troop 128, a fan of Marvel movies, and always helping his disabled father.

A statement released by Linville’s family says:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Aidan James Linville. Aidan was involved in a tragic car accident on Sunday while returning from a joyful day spent at Dollywood. Despite the best efforts of local first responders, Cumberland Medical Center ER, and medical staff at UT Medical Center, Aidan’s injuries were too severe, and he passed away. Aidan was a bright light in our lives—full of unending energy, kindness, and a spirit that touched everyone he met. He loved his family deeply, cherished his church community, and formed lasting friendships through his involvement in Boy Scouts and school. His passing has left a void that can never be filled. We are devastated by this sudden loss and are still in the process of making the necessary arrangements. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received from our community during this heartbreaking time. Aidan’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through this difficult period. Details regarding a memorial service will be shared once they are finalized. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”
