SPECIAL OLYMPICS HELD AT STONE MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
The ARC of Cumberland County held its annual Special Olympics yesterday on the football field at Stone Memorial High School.
All ages participated in soccer ball kicks, Frisbee toss, putt-putt, cornhole, pumpkin bowling, a relay pizza box race, and other events.
Tabitha Corson was the grand marshal for the event.
Nearly 50 Stone Memorial High School students were on hand to help with the event and serve as huggers for the Special Olympians.
The SMHS cheer squad, coaches, and their friends/family volunteered for the Special Olympics.
The Cumberland County Jr Marines volunteered to give out waters during the entire event.
Premier Athletics coaches, all star athletes, and their families ran all the youth games and assisted with ribbons.
Hilltoppers employees also volunteered their time to assist.
The Special Olympics was well attended by the community cheering on the athletes.
