STATEWIDE MANHUNT UNDERWAY FOR JOHN DRAKE JR
A statewide Tennessee Blue Alert has been issued for John Drake, Jr.
Drake is wanted for two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
He is a suspect in the Saturday shooting of two suburban police officers.
Drake is the son of Nashville Police Chief John Drake.
“Despite my efforts and guidance in the early and teenage years, my son, John Drake Jr., now 38 years old, resorted to years of criminal activity and is a convicted felon,” the chief said. “He has not been a part of my life for quite some time.”
Drake has been added to the TBI Ten Most Wanted list.
He should be considered armed and very dangerous.
Drake is an African American male with black hair and brown eyes. He’s 5’11” and weighs 195 pounds.
Drake was last seen in LaVergne, in the area of Stones River Road near Lake Forest Drive. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a hockey mask on it with red accents, and gray sweatpants.
