STOLEN CAMPER FROM LOUISIANA RECOVERED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On Friday, Cumberland Couty deputies received a phone call from a man stating that he was having issues with two males who parked their trailer camper partially on his property. He stated they refused to move it and he thought the camper had been stolen.

Lake Tansi deputies arrived and checked the VIN number which came back stolen from East Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When speaking with the original owner of the camper, he stated it had been stolen in 2021 and he would like to recover it.

When speaking with one of the occupants of the camper, Terry Robertson, stated his house had burnt down and he had bought the camper from Josh Stone for $11,000. The camper had been at the location for about a year.

Deputies requested a wrecker to tow the camper. It has been transported to storage until the owner is able to retrieve it.

No one was arrested and this is still under investigation.
