The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a distinctive camper reported missing from Lantana Drive.

According to an incident report filed by Deputy Jason Powers, a female victim reported that her tan bumper-pull camper—noted for having cat tails painted on the side—was taken sometime over the weekend. Neighbors reported seeing the vehicle leave the property on either Saturday or Sunday evening, August 15 or 16, 2026.

The victim informed deputies that her son had been staying in the camper and allegedly attempted to sell it without her permission. Authorities note that it remains unclear who physically removed the camper from the location.

At the time of the report, the victim was unable to provide official paperwork or identifying serial numbers for the vehicle. Deputies advised her to contact the Sheriff’s Office once she locates the title so the camper can be officially entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.
