STOLEN TAG DISPLAYED ON VEHICLE RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES IN CROSSVILLE
Crossville police pulled over a driver this week on West Avenue for a registration violation.
The officer spoke to the driver, 33-year-old Bradley Leon Marsell Smith, who was operating the vehicle on a suspended license.
Dispatch notified the police officer the tag on the vehicle was stolen. Smith reportedly said he recently traded for the automobile, and the tag came on it.
The stolen tag came from a vehicle parked at a rock quarry business in Crab Orchard. A person with the company confirmed the tag and a radio was stolen from an automobile there on site.
A search of a backpack Smith had with him reportedly revealed drugs.
Smith was arrested for the manufacture, sale, and delivery of a controlled substance, manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, theft of property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
