STOLEN VEHICLE DISCOVERED AT EXECUTIVE INN LEADS TO DRUG ARREST
A Cumberland County deputy discovered a vehicle parked at Executive Inn reported stolen in Oklahoma. During the investigation to determine who the driver was, officers were given a list by the manager of possible drivers. That resulted in law enforcement knocking on several room doors and a check of one occupant came back wanted in Morgan County. Authorities took 36-year-old Robert Shea Carpenter of Deer Lodge into custody. Authorities say Carpenter was using drugs a few hours prior to officers arriving. He was charged with simple possession of a Schedule II drug. The report did not state if a suspect was identified in relation to the stolen vehicle.
