STONE MEMORIAL TEACHER ARRESTED AFTER THREATENING STUDENTS
56-year-old James Greene, a Web Design 1 and 2 teacher at Stone Memorial High School, was arrested this morning after threatening students in a classroom.
The school’s resource officer was tipped off by a student who said Greene had threatened 14 students the day before.
Greene was arrested without incident, charged with reckless endangerment, suspended from work, and banned from entering all school system grounds and properties.
Director of Schools William Stepp said student safety is and will always be the school system’s top priority and that the system will ‘always work with our trusted partners in law enforcement when such safety issues arise.”
According to Crossville Police Captain Brian Eckelson, no injuries were reported.
