An elderly Knox County man escaped injury in a single vehicle accident in Roane County yesterday afternoon. Troopers say a 2001 Buick LeSabre driven by 82-year-old Leland Straw of Knoxville hydroplaned at the 350 westbound mile marker of I-40 in a curve. The vehicle struck a guardrail causing significant damage to the car. Straw was restrained at the time of impact.
