STRONG WINDS PROMPT ADVISORIES ACROSS MIDDLE AND EAST TENNESSEE
A Wind Advisory is in effect across parts of Tennessee late Sunday into early Monday as strong winds move through the region, according to the National Weather Service. In Middle Tennessee, the advisory runs from 5:00 PM CST Sunday through 6:00 AM CST Monday for Cumberland County, Pickett County, and Fentress County. Winds are expected to range from 15 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph.
Forecasters say the strong gusts could blow around unsecured outdoor objects, bring down tree limbs, and cause a few isolated power outages. The winds may also create difficult driving conditions, particularly for high-profile vehicles, and motorists are urged to use extra caution during the advisory period.
Farther east, another Wind Advisory is in effect from 7:00 PM EST Sunday through 10:00 AM EST Monday for Morgan County, Bledsoe County, and Anderson County. In these areas, southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected to shift to the west overnight, with gusts again reaching up to 40 mph. Residents are encouraged to secure loose items and remain alert until winds ease later Monday morning.
