Earlier this morning at around 1 a.m., the Cumberland County Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Leland Pryor Rd near Highway 127.

Once firefighters arrived, the building was completely engulfed, and already collapsing. The fire was so far along, that firefighters felt it was too far along to put out. The structure was deemed a total loss.

Thankfully, the building was uninhabited and had nothing to save, as it had been purchased by the state as part of TDOT’s project to widen Highway 127.

Currently, there is no known cause for the fire.
