Every school in Fentress County now has a full-time school resource officer. Officials with the sheriff’s department toured the schools to ensure the students and administration were familiar with the newly assigned officers. Officials say the assignment of the new SROs would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of the Fentress County Commission, Fentress County Director of Schools and school board, the county executive, York Institute and the cities of Jamestown and Allardt.
