SUBJECT BEING SOUGHT BY KNOXVILLE POLICE IN KEROSENE ATTACK

Knoxville Police are looking for a man suspected of pouring kerosene on a Fort Sanders nurse Sunday night. Officers say that the victim, a female nurse, was carrying several items from her car at the beginning of her shift. When she returned to her vehicle a second time, a white male wearing a white jacket or hoodie and black pants was nearby and made some derogatory remarks to her. Afterward, he pulled out a small bottle containing kerosene and poured it on her. She was not injured. The subject then fled the scene. Hospital security made a sweep of the area but was unable to locate him. Police say that evidence belonging to the man was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
