SUBJECT FALLS 120’ FROM CLIFF NEAR HINCH MOUNTAIN

First responders in Cumberland and Bledsoe County went to the end of Holloway Ridge Road next to Hinch Mountain yesterday around 5 p.m. after a 26-year-old male fell 120’ from a cliff.

A unified command was established and both counties worked together efficiently to safely get the patient out. Crews worked to achieve this process in adverse weather conditions from heavy rainfall and storms in the area.

He sustained significant injuries from the fall and was treated by medical personnel from all agencies on scene. He was then transported by Bledsoe County medics around 8:15 p.m. central time. The scene was cleared at 8:45 p.m. central.

The name of the patient was not initially released.

Crews assisting in the mutual aid operation included the Cumberland and Bledsoe County Rescue Squad, Cumberland County Rope Rescue, Bledsoe and Cumberland County emergency medical services, Luminary Fire Department, Cumberland County Fire Department, and the Crossville Fire Department.
