Rain chances remain scattered Sunday, with a 30 percent chance on the Cumberland Plateau and 20 percent in the Tennessee Valley. Otherwise, expect a mix of sunshine and clouds with highs from the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Rain chances increase early next week. Monday brings a 40 percent chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms across both regions, followed by a better chance Tuesday. The Cumberland Plateau has a 60 percent chance Tuesday, while the Tennessee Valley climbs to 70 percent, with storms continuing into Tuesday night. Temperatures also begin to ease, with Tuesday highs in the middle 80s on the plateau and upper 80s in the valley.
