SUNSHINE RETURNS WITH A STEADY WARMING TREND
A quiet and sunny stretch begins Monday across the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee Valley. Highs will reach the middle 70s on the plateau and upper 70s in the valley. Monday night turns cool under mostly clear skies, with temperatures dropping into the middle 40s on the Cumberland Plateau and lower 50s in the Tennessee Valley.
Temperatures climb through the middle of the week while dry weather continues. Tuesday brings highs in the upper 70s to around 80, followed by lower 80s Wednesday. Thursday looks like the warmest day of the period, with highs around 81 on the Cumberland Plateau and 84 in the Tennessee Valley. Nights also become gradually milder, although some patchy fog could develop Tuesday night on the plateau.
The dry pattern holds into Friday. Skies become mostly sunny rather than completely clear, but there is still no rain in the five-day forecast. Highs Friday remain in the lower 80s on the plateau and lower to middle 80s in the valley.
