Dayton, TN- A suspect has been arrested after a man was found shot to death Friday night in Rhea County.

The Rhea County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence around 5:52 PM on Friday after reports of shots being fired were heard.

First responders arrived at the residence on Burke Lane, which is on the Bledsoe County Line where they found a man shot to death in the driveway. He was later identified as Roy Hickman, Jr.

According to Rhea County Booking, Jackie Goss is in custody. He is being charged with criminally negligent homicide. The Chief Deputy had stated the two knew each other, but it hasn’t been revealed what Goss’s motive was. They were reported to of been neighbors.
