CRASH ON HWY 127 KILLS ONE PASSENGER
A two-vehicle crash took the life of one Saturday just before noon in Crossville.
According to the THP report, a Dodge Ram driven by 77-year-old Francis Smallwood was traveling south on HWY 127 N when he lost control on a rain-slick highway, crossed over the center line, and hit a Toyota Tacoma traveling north driven by Micheal Hamby. The accident occurred about six miles north of the Interstate.
Smallwood and his passenger, 59-year-old Melinda Jones, were reported injured in the crash.
Michael Hamby, the 59-year-old driver of the Tacoma, was injured. His passenger in the Tacoma, 74-year-old David Garrett was killed.
Charges are pending against the driver of the Ram, Francis Smallwood.
