SUSPECT FOUND IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY WANTED OUT OF NORTH CAROLINA ON SERIOUS CHARGES

A Cumberland County investigator received information Monday from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation that Rogelio Aguilar, who they believe to be in the county, was wanted by authorities in North Carolina for multiple charges. He is wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Assault causing Serious Bodily Injury, and Discharge of a Firearm in the City.

After receiving information, several investigators went to the rock yard off Westel Road, where there were two mobile homes on the property. When coming to the first home, Tomas Gomez answered the door where he told investigators he did not know Mr. Aguilar and didn’t recognize the picture they showed him. At the second home on the property, Ruben Torres told investigators no one was at that residence.

However, after searching, Mr. Aguilar was found hiding in a closet.

All three men were charged and taken into custody. 52-year-old Rogelio Aguilar will be extradited to North Carolina.
