On Friday, May 8, around 8:30 p.m., Harriman Police officers responded to a reported fight in front of a strip mall at 1039 South Roane Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while two suspects were arrested at the scene.

One suspect has been identified as 50-year-old Alan Wayne Copley, who was charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the Roane County Jail on a $50,000 bond. Authorities are withholding the names of the victim and suspects as the investigation continues, with the possibility of additional charges.

Harriman Police Chief Baron Tapp stated that detectives are actively investigating and more details will be released later.
