SUSPECT, VICTIMS IDENTIFIED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY DOUBLE SHOOTING
Cumberland County deputies responded to a double shooting on Wilbanks Road off Highway 70 North (across from the flea market) around 6 p.m. last night. Officers arrived and discovered two gunshot victims at the scene. Cumberland County sheriff’s investigators arrived on the scene and began an investigation into the shooting. Arrested in connection with the case was 24-year-old Jonathan Picard of Crossville on two counts of aggravated assault. Picard was booked into the Cumberland County Jail and released on a $15,000 bond. The two victims, 35-year-old Joshua Houston and 37-year-old Marvin Joe Randolph, both of Crossville were transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment. Requests for air medical to fly victims to trauma centers were declined because of inclement weather. The victims were later transported to area trauma centers where they remain in stable condition. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Picard is scheduled to make his first appearance on the charges in Cumberland County General Sessions Court March 16, 2020.
