SUSPECT THAT WENT ON 2-WEEK CRIME SPREE CAUGHT IN KNOXVILLE
Knoxville Police arrested a Blount County man Wednesday who had been on a two-week crime spree. Authorities say that 32-year-old Albert Lee Reynolds began his run on Sept. 6 stole a show-worthy 1991 Trans Am from a garage in Maryville. After being spotted twice in the stolen vehicle and evading authorities, Reynolds abandoned the car in Walland. Reynolds was taken into custody two days later and released on bond. Monday, deputies responded to a church on Piney Level Church Rd. where Reynolds robbed a female, left her and stole her 2009 Lexus. The next day, he reportedly stole a Toyota Tacoma, a gun and other items in Friendsville. According to police, Reynolds had planned “suicide by cop” because he did not want to return to jail. He has a lengthy criminal history and was arrested at an apartment complex in Knoxville. A K-9 Officer was used in his apprehension.
