SUSPECTS ARRESTED ON I-24 AFTER STEALING ROLLS-ROYCE AND SPEEDING NEARLY 180 MPH

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two suspects were arrested on I-24 after stealing a Rolls-Royce vehicle out of Georgia and speeding at nearly 180 miles per hour

Troopers received a look out bulletin for the car and spotted it on the interstate heading westbound in Marion County traveling at 177 mph. The stolen vehicle passed a Porsche 944 and caused the driver of the Porsche to crash into the rear of the Rolls-Royce. Both vehicles pulled to the shoulder of the interstate at mile marker 127, where two males exited the Rolls-Royce and attempted to physically remove the driver of the Porsche. A semi-automatic pistol was reportedly brandished by one of the suspects during the altercation. Law enforcement stopped and apprehended the aggressors.

Troopers recovered a loaded Glock 9 mm handgun which had been dropped in the Porsche during the altercation.

The driver of the Rolls-Royce, 20-year-old Tyler O. Long, and a juvenile both from Jackson, Tennessee were transported to the Grundy County jail. Both face numerous charges.
