SUSPECTS CAUGHT IN MULTI-COUNTY BURGLARY SPREE AFTER CROSS-STATE CHASE

From the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office:
Late last night, two suspects embarked on a burglary, theft, and vandalism spree that began through several Kentucky counties including McCreary into Tennessee in Scott County and ultimately ended in Fentress County, where their crime spree came to an abrupt halt.
Deputies responded swiftly after receiving reports that the suspects were actively committing crimes in the area. Due to the coordinated efforts and professional response of Deputy Holton Stilts, Deputy Gage Willis, and Jamestown Police Officer Eddie Asberry, the suspects were apprehended in the act while breaking into storage units in Jamestown.
Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler, Investigators David Woodard, Danny Miller, and Drug Agent Kris Lewallen with the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the ongoing investigation to ensure all related crimes are fully documented and charges are pursued across multiple jurisdictions.
This rapid and effective response brought an end to a multi-county string of burglaries and thefts, preventing further victimization and restoring peace of mind to many affected citizens.
This is an example of the teamwork and preparedness of the deputies and officers involved.
The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to all agencies involved for their assistance and continued partnership in protecting our citizens.
